Wedding Level 3, St Patricks Cathedral, Auckland City

Jesicka and Yun proved that love and family will find a way, even in a pandemic! 

Having planned their wedding, Jesicka and Yun couldn’t wait to make it official. Precious family members were only in the country for a short period of time and it would be extremely difficult for them to return to New Zealand for the foreseeable future. 

With a stunning cathedral booked for their big day, their closest friends and family lined up and despite a global pandemic hanging over them, they decided to go ahead with their wedding with level 3 restrictions in place. 

Some may think this would put a damper on proceedings but the short and joyful service, where the smiles seldom left everyone’s faces, was a pleasure to be part of. After three long months in lockdown myself it was a blessing to be doing what I love again!  

With city streets fairly empty, we were fortunate to create some fabulous images without the typical busyness of an Auckland City Saturday in summer. We have all had to adapt to this new way of life over the past few years, but what I have learned is that people will always find a way to cherish what’s important, and that makes me smile!
