Family Reunion - Photo shoot - Auckland City

Auckland City has some amazing indoor options, which is extremely fortuitous when your extended family photo session gets completely rained out and you can’t postpone! 

With her son’s fifth birthday party coming up, this mum recognised it would be the ideal opportunity to update the family photos. Family events are a great time to take advantage of everyone being in one place at one time, and usually dressed up for the occasion! You can have each individual family photographed, as well as all the cousins and grandparents.

For the Smith family, there was no option to book an alternative day, as everyone was coming together from different cities and across Auckland for this one event. On the day of the shoot, there was torrential rain and thunder storms, but you wouldn’t know it from the super chic backgrounds we were lucky enough to be able to use. 

Fortunately, one family member had a super cool work foyer we could use. Being a Sunday, there were very few people around this inner city building, although obviously this would not be possible on a week day. 

Why not push the envelope and think of how you could use your business or workplace for your next family shoot? Try something new, or a combination of locations - maybe something urban and then head to the beach to splash in the sea! I love helping clients get the most out of their session, and a big part of this is location variety!
