Family photo shoot - Muriwai, West Auckland
This client contacted me after seeing photos I’d taken at her son’s pre-school. She wanted to create some gorgeous images of her two children, her dog and their treasured French au pair who was due to return to France in a few weeks.
After a couple of false starts and wrong turns (all me!), we ended up at Muriwai Beach at sunset, one of my absolute favourite spots to photograph. The light is simply stunning, even on an overcast day and although light rain was forecast, we braved the chilly winter evening and got warm running around. I’m so glad we did! This has turned into one of my favourite ever family shoots. I love the energy of including a pet in your images; kids interact so well with them and even the shyest child will come out of their shell to play with their bestest furry family member, not that these two were at all shy!
